Lobster Tree

Lobster Tree

I shot Lobster Tree after a big February storm. I was driving and came across it at the home of a local Lobsterman. It looked like a Christmas Tree I thought.

Lobster Tree is part of the Photographs for Good :) Collection, and with your purchase of either an 8×10″ or  11×14″ signed print, 75% of the proceeds will go to Hurricane Relief for those on the east coast effected by Sandy.

Frozen Bubbles

Frozen BubblesI was walking along a trail that I like here on the Midcoast of Maine, when I  happened upon a frozen over stream. The bubbles seemed just frozen there. I laid

Tree HuggerTree Hugger

I shot Tree Hugger during a storm last winter. I was having a great time shooting for the Winter Speaks collection but I was getting ready to finish for the day. It was very cold and my fingers were getting a little stiff. I was packing up and I happened to look in another direction and there it was…

It happens that way some times.

Photographs for Good :) Spotlight: The Barns at Troy

The Barns at Troy
The Barns of Troy

I shot The Barns at Troy in 2010, on my way home from visiting a friend in Troy, Maine. The sun was setting (about 3:30pm, that happens here) and I could see right away what it would look like. Still the sun was setting…FAST and it needed to be done fairly quickly but I think it came out very nicely.
The Barns at Troy is part of the Photographs for Good :) Collection, and with your purchase of either an 8×10″ or  11×14″ signed print, 75% of the proceeds will go to Hurricane Relief for those on the east coast effected by Sandy.

Photographs for Good :) Spotlight: The Wreath

The WreathThe Wreath

I shot the Wreath on Christmas Eve 2011. We were clearly having a bit of snow and being Christmas Eve, not a creature was stirring. I set up the camera and shot a couple of times. Although you argue that the streetlight itself is a bit of a distraction, I thought it looked almost star like.
The Wreath is part of the Photographs for Good :) Collection, and with your purchase of either an 8×10" or  11×14" signed print, 75% of the proceeds will go to Hurricane Relief for those on the east coast effected by Sandy.

Into the Fog (we go)

1 year, 11 months ago Blog, Into the Fog 0

Fog…Mysterious…Strangely comforting. I have seen it, been a part of it, some say I've been in it. I am drawn to it.

Into the Fog is a journey for me. A journey of understanding my own eye for my work.
Into the Fog is more than anything about clarity.

I will be printing some selected pieces as a folio.

Winter Speaks 1

1 year, 11 months ago Blog, Winter Speaks 0

I wanted to begin a new series that will take a few years to finish. Winter Speaks will  span 3 years. Each year a new gallery to be published with the previous winters editions. I will publish a folio with selected prints from each year and after 2014 a book on the project.

So as the air begins to chill and we await what the coming winter has to say.

I present: WInter Speaks "Year One".
